Dr Alvin John Lim Meng Siang

Dr Alvin John Lim Meng Siang is a lecturer and researcher at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) since 2014. He is attached to the Department of Civil Engineering (JKA) and a research member at Research Center for Soft Soils (RECESS).

He completed his degree in Civil Engineering with first class Honours at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia and continued his studies at the same University as a fast tracked PhD candidate. His area of specialization is in Geotechnical Engineering and has experienced in teaching several others subjects such as Mathematics, Computer Programming, Foundation Engineering and Geotechnics. His area of research is in to Dynamic loading of soils, soft soil engineering, sustainable lightweight embankment of fills, foundation engineering, data analytics and science and is also the inventor and co-inventor of several innovative products. He has published several high impact papers and also in Scopus indexed journals in his research interests. He has also been involved in several consultation project with the Ministry of Education in Data Science.

He is currently registered as a Professional Technologist under the Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT) and also a registered Graduate Engineer under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
