Associate Professor Dr Aziman Bin Madun

Associate Professor Dr Aziman Bin Madun started his career as a geologist at Terratech Consultant (M) Sdn. Bhd, subsidiary of MTD Capital Berhad after graduating from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1995. Then in 2002, he joined Ranhill Bersekutu (M) Sdn. Bhd involving in Electrified Double Track Rawang to Ipoh.

In year 2004, he joined UTHM as a lecturer in Department of Geotechnics and Transportation, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering UTHM. In the academics, his interest revolves on underground mapping using geophysical techniques for the geoengineering, geotechnical and groundwater. He is PhD graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2012. He is a Registered Professional Geologist Malaysia (PG 461) on Board of Geologist, life member for Geological Society of Malaysia and member for Institute of Geology Malaysia. He has lead and member of researcher to more than 30 research projects amounting approximately 1.8 million Ringgit. He writes, consults and speaks across the world on topics such as engineering geology and engineering geophysics. His work has published more than 80 papers in the academic journals and conference papers, as well as more than 20 technical reports. In 2016, he was appointed as Associate Professor in UTHM. In 2013 to 2018 he was Head of Transportation and Geomatic Engineering Department. Later in 2018, he is involved in Preston GeoCEM (M) Sdn Bhd, Spin-off Company of UTHM as a director.

He is actively involved in various projects with Preston GeoCEM involving projects related with underground mapping using geophysics for site investigation, forensic engineering and groundwater exploration in Malaysia and Brunei.
