Social Innovation: Muar Perspective

Muar is praised as one of ASEAN’s cleanest cities. One of UTHM’s campus is located there. In answering the local needs, UTHM initiated UTHM@Muar Living Lab to leverage on the university innovation initiatives for the benefit of the local people. Since 2018, the collaborative efforts between the researchers and the local authorities have enabled several successful innovations, for example, augmented reality murals, MPM smart bin and MPM Smart Covid Tracker. Some of these innovations had been awarded with recognitions, and could potentially be extended to the other cities.
